On October 12th, 2016 Oana Ursulesku, MA invited students and faculty to become acquainted with writer Liliana Lukin by means of a thorough examination of her texts as well as personal discussions with the artist herself. The reading was prefaced by a short overview over the history of Jewish migration in Latin America by Professor Ulla Kriebernegg. Lukin presented her work in the Spanish language; an English translation by Ms. Ursulesku was presented by Erasmus Student of the C.IAS, Katherine Quinby Stone (CCNY). The Center for Inter-American Studies is looking forward to more co-operations initiated through this event.
