Children, minors, teenagers, juveniles, and youth - di????erent names can be used to describe the young population. Whatever term we call the group of people under 18, they
are a significant part of contemporary societies. Young people are future leaders and decision makers and have much to o????er in terms of energy, creativity, and innovation.
They are also the ones who will be most a????ected by the challenges the world is facing today, such as climate change, inequality, and/or poverty. The world is getting older, and
the hope of keeping societies functioning smoothly is strongly connected with their wellbeing. However, being a minor is not easy. Several issues influence their growth and shape their future. These issues need to be addressed to ensure that young people have the opportunity to reach their full potential and contribute to society. The planned book aims to present a multidisciplinary perspective on the situation of minors in the Americas. We would like to present current issues and challenges that American societies face when it comes to the future of the young generation. We address this CFP to researchers whose work focusses on issues connected with the young generation in areas of migration, law, education, child labor, poverty, violence and crime, drug abuse, mental health, reproduction rights, lack of access to a????ordable housing, rising costs of living, climate change, gun violence, indigenous youth rights, and others. We also offer a space for a young generation of future scholars. We would like to invite PhD candidates or M.A. students and create a forum for their research in the book. The book aims to cover both Americas as we would like to enquire deeply into the situation of a young generation and find out what are the challenges they face, what are the issues that may influence their lives, and what are the threats that can endanger their future.
