Call for Papers: “Ecologies – Environments – Ethics”

Association for Canadian Studies in German-Speaking Countries

The annual meeting of the GKS (Association for Canadian Studies in German-Speaking Countries) will take place in Grainau from 18. - 20. February, 2022. The conference on “Ecologies - Environments - Ethics” / “Ecologies - Environnements - Éthiques” planned for 2021 had to be postponed to 2022 due to Corona. There are already some accepted submissions (also from Graz), but due to changes, and due to the Corona situation, the Call for Papers is now open again. The deadline for submitting abstracts is June 15, 2021.

The Association for Canadian Studies in German-Speaking Countries is a multidisciplinary academic association which aims to increase and disseminate a scholarly understanding of Canada. The 42nd annual conference will focus on the themes of “Ecologies – Environments – Ethics” with an emphasis on Canadian and comparative ecological and environmental issue and topics. It aims at studying the relationships between physical environments, questions of ecologies and environmental ethics, and social, cultural, political, and economic concerns raised by environmental crises in public, scientific, academic, educational, literary, and media discourses

Attached you will find more information on the conference, and the call for papers, in German, French, and English.
