Inter.Reading Book Club: Leyendo Latinoamérica

During winter semester 2022/23, the Inter.Reading Book Club: Leyendo Latinoamérica will be reading the 2015 bestseller “El Murmullo de Las Abejas” (The Murmur of the Bees) written by Sofía Segovia. This critically acclaimed novel portrays Mexico’s history, highlighting the values of tradition and culture. The story follows the lives of the Morales family facing the challenges of the Revolution in 1910, the Spanish flu pandemic in 1918, the Agrarian Land reforms in a Post-Revolutionary Mexico.

The reading group consists of 7 participants, who regularly join every meeting of the book club. The meetings take place online since we have participants joining from different cities and countries in Europe. This semester, there are eight meetings scheduled, always on Wednesdays at 19:00.

2nd meeting – October 19th

3rd meeting – November 9th

4th meeting – November 23rd

5th meeting – December 7th

6th meeting – December 21st

7th meeting – January 11th

8th meeting – January 25th
