Quo Vadis Bolivia

Radiosendung mit C.IAS-Mitarbeiter Christian Cwik am 12. November 2020 um 18 Uhr auf 96,2 Mhz FM (Radio Helsinki - Freies Radio Graz)

Nach einem Jahr konservativer Übergangsregierung und mehrmals verschobenen Wahlen hat Bolivien wieder einen demokratisch gewählten Präsidenten. Mit 55 % der Stimmen wird Luis Arce, ehemaliger Wirtschaftsminister der langjährigen linken Regierungspartei "Bewegung zum Sozialismus", Staatsoberhaupt des südamerikanischen Andenlandes. Die offene Gewalt bei Protesten und Polizeieinsätzen im vergangenen Oktober/November sowie zuletzt im August dieses Jahres haben Tote und Narben hinterlassen, alte und neue Gräben in der Gesellschaft vertieft.

Woher kommt diese Spaltung? Wird Luis Arce Brücken schlagen können? Wie wird sich Bolivien weiterentwickeln? Im gemeinsamen Gespräch werden Vertreter des Indigenous Rights Collective (InRiCo), des Zentrums für Inter-amerikanische Studien (C.IAS) der Universität Graz sowie des Forschungs- und Kulturverein für Kontinentalamerika und die Karibik (KonaK Graz) Antworten auf diese und andere Fragen suchen.

Ein Gespärch zur politischen und ideologischen Spaltung mit Manuel Galvan (Moderation und Indigenous Rights Collective - InRiCo), Ernesto Rico-Schmidt (Radio Helsinki, lebt in Cochawamba), Christian Cwik (Zentrum für Inter-amerikanische Studien - C.IAS), Denis M. (Forschungs- und Kulturverein für Kontinentalamerika und die Karibik - KonaK Graz).
