Bio
James Forsher’s career in film and media began with a unique childhood connection to Elvis Presley and Hollywood’s golden age. After producing documentaries like Ticket to Hollywood and Hollywood Uncensored, which explored censorship and race in film, his work aired on major networks, including Discovery Channel and PBS. In 1997, he shifted to academia, teaching media and film at Florida State University after earning a doctorate from USC. Post-retirement, he revisited censorship themes with Roddenberry’s Trek and created a documentary about his mother’s time with Elvis, Elvis und das Mädchen aus Wien (2017).
