Join artist-researcher Carolyn Defrin for a talk on how participatory art practices can open imaginative and relational spaces within Europe’s border regimes. Drawing on work with asylum seekers,
residents, and humanitarian actors in Samos, Greece, she explores how small creative interventions can reveal alternative narratives of belonging, attention, and hope. The lecture takes place in dialogue with the exhibition STRANCI – Of Being a Stranger, which examines the changing legal, political and cultural dimensions of "the stranger" related to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
